Dacom director Janneke Hadders spoke yesterday afternoon on the third in a series of six Food First Conferences on the world food crisis held at the Floriade in Venlo. Theme of this conference was Breaking the Hunger cycle in which the crisis in the Sahel region and the prevention of further food crises were central. This conference is held to facilitate a platform for policymakers, innovators, researchers, and civil society to discuss the dilemmas and solutions.In her presentation, Janneke Hadders explained how Dacom’s services and products, including the soil moisture sensor TerraSen™ can contribute to the fight against the world food problem. Dacom congratulates winner Partners for Water Award 2012 |
| Last Tuesday the 27th of November 2012, the Partners for Water Award 2012 has been granted to Water Insight for the WISP-3 during the Partners for Water event: Waterproof, in The Fabrique in Utrecht, The Netherlands. The WISP-3 is some sort of laser gun by which you are able to measure the quality of surface water. Water Insight has taken part in this election together with the Institute for Environmental Studies of the VU University Amsterdam and BZ Innovation Management. |

| During the kick-off of the Global Entrepreneurship Week the jury of the Wageningen University Fund has granted the Mansholt-Business Award for Sustainable Entrepreneurship 2012 to Jan Hadders. The M-BASE 2012 award: a bronze sculpture of the “Wageningen Tree” and a cheque of € 25.000, was presented to the founder of the company Dacom by the chairman of Wageningen University Fund Jan Karel Mak in co-operation with StartLife last Monday the 12th of November. |
